Where is the best place to eat lunch or dinner at the Hollywood Studios?

We really enjoy 50's Prime Time Cafe. Love the atmosphere and the food is pretty good too

I think that really depends on your taste. If you are like me and are trying to find the places that are not crazy crowded than take a look at Mama La Rosa's . If the crowds don't bother you and you are looking for the best Dining experience than Zippy is right, it is tough to beat the atmosphere at 50's, just remember not to eat your vegetables and to put your elbows on the table. :thedolls:

...for us we like Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano the best ... other than that, Hollywood Studios does not have a lot else to offer ... that we like ...

Commissary. All the DHS food to me isn't that good. But the Commissary is the cheapest and air conditioned.

Mama Melrose or 50's prime time. SCi Fi is fun if you have little kids with you, my kids loved eating in the cars watching the old movie clips. 50's prime time has become sort of a tradition on our trips.

Anywhere but DHS!

Are you looking for a table service or just grabbing a quick bite? For sit down, we like 50's Prime Time or Sci-Fi Diner. For a quick bite, the Commissary is fine, and Pizza Rizzo isn't fancy at all, but DD always asks to go back.

I'm partial to Brown Derby. The atmosphere is kind of laid back, upscale without being pretentious (linen napkins, tablecloths, etc. - a nice touch). Even though some people will disagree, I think the food is very good, with a nice range of selections to suit just about anyone's taste. It's a bit more expensive than other Studios restaurants, but I think it's worthy of a few extra dollars. Each time I've been there, the service was outstanding as well. I recommend the grapefruit cake for dessert!

We like HBD for lunch and 50's PTC for dinner.

I love the atmosphere and service level at the Brown Derby, but their menu - - which I don't think has changed at all for many years - - is very limited and lacking in my opinion. I'd like to see a more diverse assortment of dishes. But they need to keep hands off the grapefruit cake !

Well, since 80% of the park is under construction, they should fix some of the dining there while they are at it.

We didn't like 50's Prime Time food (vegetables are out of a can). We did, however, enjoy Mama Melrose. It's probably the only place we'd eat there again - that is if we were spending a full day there.

Another fan of 50s Prime Time here. As you'll notice, reviews of this restaurant are mixed, but we've never had a bad meal here and have always had a great time. If you're looking for nostalgia, this is the place.

If you're looking for CS locations, Backlot Express and Sunset Ranch Market are our favorites. We also enjoy ABC Commissary and PizzeRizzo.

50s Primetime is just fun and I love it! One of the only places we eat in DHS. I dearly miss pizza Planet, I hope maybe they will add it back in Toy Story land!

Thank you everyone for your input. I had heard mixed reviews on 50's prime time also. I did end up getting reservations for that restaurant based on your suggestions. We might try the commissary too.
