Anyone ever go on this? I'm asking because my nephew his wife and their 3 kids ages 6, 4 and 2 are thinking about doing it.

This is their first time to Florida and I of course tried to convince them to make it a complete Disney trip but they feel they are not ready for that. So they will only be doing one day at Magic Kingdom and of course staying off site. But they are just looking for other nonpark things to do in Florida.

They are just not sure if this will be too much for the 2 year old, or the other kids for that matter. Anyone ever do this with their little kids.

Thanks for any info...

We haven't ridden in the Orlando Eye, but from everything we've read and seen on local TV, it's a very slow moving and scenic ride. Passengers are in fully enclosed air-conditioned capsules as the ride takes them to the top of the 400+ foot wheel, affording views of a significant portion of Central Florida.

Is it high enough to see both coasts? I have no concept as to how that might compare to say BLT or TOT. I think the Empire State Building is about three times as high as the Orlando Eye. However I think you can see up to 60 miles from the top of the ESB on a clear day.

Thanks for that info! Will definitely let them know the details as far as being 400ft...The fact that it is air conditioned and slow moving may be of some comfort to them as well.

Isn't a typical floor of a building 8 ft tall? If so, it is like a 50 story building. I believe the Empire State Building is 102 stories.

We have never tried it because every time we try to go it is closed for weather. :( It is in a complex that also contains Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum and a small aquarium. MY kids were 8 & 10 when we went and they both had fun even though the Eye was closed.
