My family will be at both Universal Parks on October 30th, 2017.

Although I have been to Universal many times, I have never been during Halloween season. I know it's hugely popular - especially with locals.

But here is my question: We will have three young girls who scare EASILY. I'm worried that roaming Universal characters who are not there Year-round will be scaring guests. Is this the case?

We will avoid all of the temporary haunted houses they create - but do they try to scare park guests in regular park areas? The girls would be terrified if they experienced it or saw it happening to others. Should this be a concern? (Or do they do it only at night?) Any info is appreciated.

HHN is a separate ticketed evening event. There will be no scare actors roaming during the day. There may be some displays around the park, but they are not scary, more backdrop/disply type things. that set the mood for a scare area in the evening (things like hollowed out trees etc)

During the day you will be OK... but if they scare easily, don't do HHN...

I went in October and other than some signage and extra props in some areas (nothing scary) you would never know that HHN was happening later that night.
