We just made reservations for early 2018 for our family of 5.... and the boys are all good sized teenagers. Caribbean Beach now says it sleeps 5, with a pull down bed. I'm a little reluctant BUT I'm also not terribly thrilled about paying for a family suite either.

Has anyone stayed in one of these rooms that sleeps five? Is it five, or is it more like 4 and a half?

My 15 year old son just slept on the same type of bed at the poly in a studio and he fit just fine. We have had the "pull out\murphy bed" at Port Orleans Riverside and at Caribbean Beach in the past. The one at the poly appeared to be the same size as the others. My son is 15, weighs around 120, and is about 5 ft 6. He never complained about the bed and he looked to fit just fine on it.

Thank you! That's just about the size of one of the twins, so I think we'll be good!!!

We've stayed in the POR-AB version of these rooms. If I recall correctly you get two standard queen beds and the Murphy bed which is a twin. If its set up like POR, there will be three drawers under the Murphey bed and the tv resides on the wall above it. You used to get more dresser space before the renovations (again talking about POR) so keep in mind you will be very cramped for space (suitcases, souvenirs, dirty close etc.). We bought, fairly cheaply, one of those folding sweater racks, you simply hang it from coat rack and it falls down into 5 compartments or so, which is perfect for socks & underwear, t-shirts and other smaller clothing items. We also take down a collapsable laundry basket (barrel shaped) to throw things into during the stay.

Its definitely nice saving $$ by avoiding a suite or two rooms, but it can get pretty cramped.

Good luck.

Great idea on the sweater racks. Never thought of that one!

We are normally POR people, so this switch to the other side is going to be interesting!
