I'm curious about the afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian.
It seems pricey...is it worth it?
Also is it appropriate for a couple ?
I'd appreciate any thoughts or opinions.

My husband and I did this a few years back. It is certainly appropriate for a couple. In addition to a wide selection of teas, champagne is also offered. The sandwiches were small but, along with dessert, we left feeling full enough to count it as a meal.

This is a tough one. We enjoy the tea, DD and I go each year, for the past couple of years. Yes, it is pricey, and no, it is not a "proper" afternoon tea, but we still enjoy it. There is less variety to the menu than in the past, but we still found it to be a meal, with the fruit/cheese, sandwiches and dessert. The tea selections have been cut back as well (my beloved Russian Earl Grey is gone), but still enough to provide some choice. All in all, we're going back again on our May trip.

There are far more women there than men, but usually at least a few couples, so appropriate for any type of couple.

I've only gone once, but I really enjoyed it! I need to go back soon (because it's been years since the last time I was there)
