Sorry you couldn't get in, at $150 plus tax I think this is going to sell out quickly. Sounds like a fun experience.

Was I the only one disappointed by this? When I saw the headline, I though you got to actually dine in the monorail, like they added a table, and courses were served at different stops.

Probably just a childhood dream ..

A while back - I came up with an idea for a late nite party monorail. Can't recall if I shared it on the podcast but one of my friends reminded me today. The idea was after park hours, you put a couple monorails on the epcot loop. Fill them up with people. Each car has an assortment of deserts and drinks along with piped in music, special lighting etc.

Biggest problem is the current configuration of the monorails... they aren't open. Now if they ever upgraded them to be like the las vegas ones, then you'd be able to sit, stand, dance, party!

Even so, I'd do a couple loops, drink, eat and chill. You could even have a bar or food stop at the epcot station and TTC.

Again, this would be AFTER normal park hours so it didn't interfere with anything.

#intercotconsulting - thank me ;)

In the TA press release, it stated the event wouldn't be held December 18th to January 3rd....

This is probably something DH and I would do in the future on a "date night", or on a trip without the kids. I think $150 per person is somewhat reasonable, but no way would this be a family "add on". I don't think it's worth $600 for a family of 4 to do, but with the alcohol involved it's definitely not geared toward the family set anyway.

We do this already, on our own, and our kids enjoy partaking in it. As a matter of fact we have plans for a "monorail crawl" on our upcoming Feb. trip. The one thing that concerns me is this event is scheduled for the same night we have our plans. I do hope that the number of guests per night is low enough as to not cause delays to other guests on the monorail. Also it appears that the CR final stop with Wishes is on the 4th floor observation deck. I haven't seen anything officially stating that, but the picture looks a lot like that space. I also noticed in June that Disney had added a seating section to the far corner facing MK on that 4th floor deck. Could this have been added specifically for this event? It kinda bums me out to think that yet another space that was previously open to the public may now be a "by reservation only" space.

Weird, the one John posted above only had a blackout from the 23rd-31st. I tried also to make some for March with no luck. Also they told me on the phone they are for Tues, Friday and Sat so it seems there is a bit of confusion all around with folks on the WDW side.

I might be missing it among all the information here, but is this event expected to continue in 2017, or is this just something for December, 2016? Or perhaps that won't be decided until they see how popular it is.
