Well I braved the crowd and went to see the Frozen Ever After on opening day. I had a FP for 1:19pm. Glad I did as the wait was 300 minutes at one point.

The ride was down when I went back at my time. I waited for them to reopen the ride. It was just over an hour. I must say I was impressed on how they did it.

The queue now goes to the left where the old exit was. The boarding/disembarking area are both at the old exit. The track is the same and they updated the boats from Maelstrom. I thought it was really fun and well done. You still exist through the Puffins Roost. At one point the standby line was at 300 minutes..yikes. The line went past China, almost to the bridge to the Outpost.

I'm on Instagram as disney4ustwo2 if you want to see pictures. Mods....if this is not allowed, please remove.

I'll always miss Maelstrom, but will enjoy this new attraction ad well.

I also went to the new Anna and Elsa meet and greet. They did a nice job with the queue as their summer house.

Thanks for the report.

I'll miss Maelstrom also, but I'm looking forward to this new attraction in just a few weeks. We made FP+'s on 2 days, so we'll be enjoying it twice on our upcoming trip.. :) :)

Is the huge troll still in the shop? He's always been one of our favorite photo ops.

We've been at Epcot most of the day, and can say that FEA has been down must of the afternoon and still is. We had a FP+for 5:25, and received an email giving instructions on how to proceed since the attraction is not available. Disney has pulled out the big guns, with plain clothed CMs at the entrance shooing people away.

I didn't go through the whole store. I went out the first door.

Yes.... FEA has been down twice that I know of. Lots of plain clothes CM all day. There were quite a few in the loading/unloading area as well. Even with the glitches, everything I observed was very upbeat.

Thanks for the report and braving the crowds. :notworth:

On a side note, I guess I will never look at a FEA (Finite Element Analysis) report at work the same way again ...

Ended the day with no FrEA (is that better, Figment!???). A little disheartening that opening day was kind of a flop for many people. A previous poster mentioned that guests seemed okay with things... That was not my perception...lots of semi-ticked off folks today add I stood nearby and listened. My DW and I didn't really care one way or the other about FrEA and finished our day with a nice meal at Tokyo Dining.

Maybe I should clarify...yes, I agree that there were many that were upset, angry etc. I didn't observe that. The people I was in line with as well as everyone inside the queue were happy and excited. Our boat was like a party on our return. Everyone was applauding and happy with our trip.

Yes, the standby lines are horrible. Anytime a new attraction opens it's that way. It was the same thing when Cars Land opened. I was there several hours in the esplanade waiting for the park to open. It was a total mad house. It was the same way last week when Soarin reopened with the new version. The standby line was all the way to the top floor when the park opened.

I went home around 3:30 so I don't know if the ride stayed open or if the we're using the standby line was reopened.

I saw the picture of the 300 min. wait. I can't imagine staying in a line that long. The video of the attraction I've watched looked good, better than I was expecting. Radiator Springs Racers still gets long lines and FastPasses that go quickly. Soarin' always seems to have much shorter lines in CA than Florida. I went to the new one on Sunday. The wait said 55 minutes, but actually only took 20 min. to get onto the ride.

Is Frozen Ever After a Tier I or a Tier II Fastpass Attraction?

Thanks for the report. From pictures I've seen, I suspected they switched the entrance to the exit of the former ride. I'm not sure when I'll get to ride this as there is no way I'm standing in a 300 minute line!!!

I will be there in Aug- we have it as a FP- I was torn between that and Soarin, but I picked FrEA because of my kids.. It sounds like I made the right choice.

thanks for sharing-
