A New Twist
4/24/16 Two years after re-opening near Disney Quest, the Wetzel's Pretzels / Haagen-Dazs location is on the move again. The current location closed on April 4th and will re-open in a new location in the forthcoming Town Center neighborhood on May 15, 2016.
4/12/14 After an apparent delay, construction walls are now up around the new The Wetzel's Pretzels/ Haagen-Dazs location in Downtown Disney Westside. The new kiosk is being built on the side of the Disney Quest building facing the Cirque du Soleil theater. The new kiosk is schedule to open Mid Spring 2014.
10/20/13 The Wetzel's Pretzels/ Haagen-Dazs location in Downtown Disney Westside ceased operation October 19, 2013. The conversion to a Starbucks location has been announced to be complete Spring 2014. The new Wetzel's Pretzels and Haagen-Dazs kiosks have been announced to open Late December 2013.

4/24/16 Several of the Star Wars inspired entrees have stuck around on the Backlot Express menu. The menu still features the Royal Guard Burger, Dark Side Chicken and Waffles, and Galactic Chicken Salad; in addition, to the Chewbacca and Boba Fett Souvenir Steins. As a sweet ending to their Star Wars themed meal, Guests can also still indulge in their choice of the Darth Vader Chocolate Cupcake or BB-8 Lemon Cup Cake. These entrees from a galaxy far, far away are joined by more terrestrial options including a 1/3 lb Angus Cheese Burger, a Caprese Sandwich, Chicken Breast Nuggets, and a Chili-Cheese Hot Dog.
Springing Up
4/24/16 Disney Springs has begun to release an opening schedule for the new Town Center neighborhood. The new area, home to over 30 new venues, will open the first phase on May 15, 2016 with additional individual location openings through July 1, 2016.
A Tale of Two Cuisines
4/24/16 If you have ever faced the daunting challenge of choosing between a burger or a taco, fret no more. Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Café has replaced its Southwestern Burger with a new Taco Burger. According the menu description, the Taco Burger is a Pepper Jack Cheese burger topped with seasoned ground beef and served with a side of tortilla chips.

4/24/16 As part of the new Summer promotion at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, expanded park hours have been announced for the first part of the Summer. From May 27 through July 2, 2016 the park will close at 11:00 pm each day. Similar hours are expected for the remainder of the Summer, but may be announced closer to the end of this first period.
