Birthdays and magic bands

Just curious if the magic bands tell cast members that it is the kids' birthdays that day.. like when they are getting on a ride will they get a little notification or what not? we plan on doing a birthday pin or something but just curious what kind of little tid bits they throw in for birthday specialness.

I don't think so. We had a birthday celebration at Disney, and when we scanned for the FP+ entry, it did say "celebration" on the screen, but it didn't say "birthday". Maybe they have tweaked the system, but then then it was only when we had a FP+ for the attraction.

I think when you wear the badge they see it and wish you Happy Birthday. Also, in the TS restaurants they may give you a little something special for dessert.
