Enjoyed WL at Christmas - Now renovations

Will renovations ruin Christmas at WL? Understand beach area will be closed, many paths closed, and Villa pool construction for a long time. I am assuming main pool will be extremely over crowded. Seating was tough enough before. Will the boat be running to MK? OR is that one of the closed path areas? WL was always great at Christmas. It was lowered priced compared to other deluxe resorts. I will be at Disney World week of December 14 and don't know where to stay now. Wanted to show our family friend from Germany. So disappointed. The other deluxes are way more expensive.

The path to the boats from the hotel will be open, the construction (for now) will be the areas behind the villas. If you're going to be using the pool, it will be crowded. IMO the seating area was compacted after the addition of the fence and now you will have everyone from the villas added to it. I'm sure the hotel lobby will still be beautifully decorated for the holiday.
