Hello All,
My family and I are traveling to Disney World in 10days. It has been a couple of years since our last visit. My Son has SPD, ODD and ADHD and we have received the GAC card in the past that made life easier for us and the other Disney guest around us, since my Son has a problem with personal space. My question is What is the difference between the GAC and DAS card. and what has changed in the last two years with these cards. Thank you so much for any input.

The DAS is now attached to your magic band. When you go to Guest Services make sure everyone in your party is with you as they need to be linked to the person with the DAS.

To use, go to the attraction. They will scan the return time into the band. When you go to use the band (usually via the FP entrance). The person with the DAS needs to go through first. It will light up blue and the CM will clear it for him and then the rest of your party can go through.

Sounds complicated but it's really easy. I had problems the first day it was in use, but none since.

If you still have your GAC from last time, bring it with you. It may help when getting the DAS scanned into his magic band. Meaning they can see he had it prior to switching to the DAS.

Hope this helps :mickey:

What he didn't explain is your return time (you cannot just use band for immediate access), they will give you a return time that is the standby time listed less 15 minutes. You can go and do other things until your return time, then follow the process above to gain entrance to the attraction. You can and should book regular FP+ for your entire family each day. They do not affect the DAS. You can only get one DAS return time until you use it. The DAS person MUST ride the ride...they go first to ensure they are riding and the party follows, and they read each band. Now, not everyone has to go with the DAS person, but DAS must ride. Have a wonderful time.
