Anyone else seeing a problem with letting the fans vote for the starters?
How can 8 of 9 starting spots in the AL currently be Royals (no offense Royals but 8 of 9 is crazy). The current leader at 2nd base, Infante, is batting just over .200

Thoughts?

Indeed I do. I have voted my 35 times, and even though they are smoking hot, not all of my choices are my Toronto Blue Jays! I think it will be ridiculous if the starting line up is as the fans have voted thus far (no offense KC -- I do like your team a lot!).

Totally agree, Jeff!

And I'll also say that the online only thing bums me out. Punching those cards at the ballpark has been a tradition for us for many years.

I can't stand that it is all online now! Like Mel, my sister and I would do our ballots when we are at our Sunday Phillies games.

I have always disliked that the fans solely choose the starting position players, because it ends up being more about popularity and marketing rather than skill.

I have always disliked that the fans solely choose the starting position players, because it ends up being more about popularity and marketing rather than skill.

I always enjoyed voting when at O's games or visiting other stadiums. I do not like that it is just online. There are actually people in this day and age like my Mom who still do not have a computer or Internet so they lose out.
