One Square Meal
6/12/15 The Magic Kingdom has announced an operational change to one of its most popular dining locations. Effective July 3, 2015; Tony’s Town Square Restaurant will change from 11:30 am – 2:45 pm Lunch seatings and 4:40 pm - 9:30 pm Dinner seatings to a single 11:00 am -9:30 pm All Day seating. The new single seating option will also introduce a single menu with All Day specialties.
Coffee Kingdom
6/12/15 As the Animal Kingdom prepares to open a new coffee spot, it also prepares to reduce other breakfast offerings. It has been internally announced that the new Starbucks location will open in the former Creature Comforts location on June 18, 2015. In conjunction with this addition, Pizzafari will cease breakfast service effective June 17, 2015.
1/18/15 Exterior renovations have commenced on the now closed Creature Comforts store. The purple, teal, and orange color scheme has been replaced by a brown and cream color scheme with mosaic accents. Despite the prominent changes, the park has yet to officially announce the replacement for the store. Area Cast are still reporting that the location is planned to become a Starbucks location.
12/22/14 Disney’s Animal Kingdom has opened a new coffee location and appears to have a second in the works. The Isle of Java cart on Discovery Island recently closed and a new Isle of Java kiosk has opened. The permanent kiosk is located adjacent to the Flame Tree Barbecue and sells a variety of baked goods in addition to coffee. It has been internally announced that the Creature Comforts store will permanently close for renovations from January 5 through Mid June, 2015. Although the replacement has yet to be announced, Cast have reported that the location is planned to become the Animal Kingdom Starbucks location.
Going Off Trek
6/12/15 Animal Kingdom Cast have reported that a portion of the Maharajah Jungle Trek will be closing for a multi-week refurbishment. From June 15 through Late July 2015, the Open Air Bat Walk-Through is scheduled to be closed for refurbishment.
A Sweet Surprise
6/12/15 Animal Kingdom Cast have reported that the new Harambe Market has a yet-to-be-announced fifth dining option. Reportedly named Zuri's Sweets, the fifth 'location' is expected to offer a selection of African inspired sweets and open in Late June 2015.
