Memory Maker Question

We are going as a large party over the WDW Marathon weekend. If we buy the memory maker, the Disney website says that I would have to be present or would have to call in for other ride pictures that I am not at. Is this the experience that others have had?

If everyone is linked as "friends and family" in MDE, then their pictures will appear automatically in your Memory Maker account, and you can download them, etc. We have this often, since DH likes the thrill rides, and I'm a general ride wimp.

If they aren't linked, I believe there is an option for them to share their photos, but I haven't tried this, since I link our (little) family all together.
