Hi all,
WDW vet but now a Californian and a new mom. We are taking my son for the first time on Thursday. Wondering if we should get single park or park hopper tickets. What do you recommend given that we are right after the holiday and will be traveling at the pace of a 1 year old. Planning to spend a long day in one or both parks. It is my birthday and I love the fireworks so we will see at least one show before staying at a nearby hotel. Any and all recommendations wanted for tickets, what to bring, what to see with my son, what to skip, etc.
Thanks!

The parks are so close together and so easy to hop between that unless it's a financial issue I would suggest getting the park hopper. Both parks have good places for kids. In fact, I think that DCA has the best area for kids in the Bugs Land area. Everything is very kid friendly and there's a great water area for the kid to run around in and cool down. At DL itself, of course, there's Fantasyland and the petting zoo at Big Thunder Ranch. When one park gets to be too much then hop over to the other.

I don't know if you've already taken this trip or not but I've taken my kid into WDW and DL so many times...

You'll have a great time as long as you have your stroller (hopefully your kid will sleep in as well as mine did - have sleep cues like a favorite blankie and/or lovey), use his wake time to ride stuff (small world, storybook land, Pooh, Pirates, anything with no height requirement and those are MANY).

My favorite thing about taking a babe into the Parks was finally seeing the Baby Care Centers - they are just awesome. For everything from changing to feeding to nursing to just resting. Take advantage!!
