If African or Indian type food is new to you I would choose Boma's and try everything. If you are already a fan of these foods I would go with Sanaa. I recently went to Sanaa for the first time and can't wait to go back again.

Boma is one of our all time favorite meals on property. So many unique and delicious options! We haven't tried Sanaa yet, though. We'll be eating at both of them this summer.

We have tried both. We were not fans of Boma, at all, and we consider ourselves pretty adventurous when it comes to food. We did, however, really enjoy our meal at Sanaa. Their bread service alone is worth a meal there.

Remember that Boma is a buffet and Sanaa is a regular service restaurant.

One thing that always confuses me is why do folks spend the money at Boma but end up only eating chicken strips and macaroni and cheese?!? :shrug:

For us Sanaa was the better choice. We did enjoy both but we are a family that likes curry type dishes.

We did not care for Boma. We aren't big buffet fans. Sanaa had some good choices for people who do not like really spicy foods and wonderful choices for people that do:mickey:

Can someone tell me how to pronounce Sanaa? I'm sure I'm doing it wrong in my head. :blush:

You don't pronounce the second "a" after the "n". So just Sa Na. I'm used to Hawaiian so I was saying Sa Na Ah. At least what they told me at the desk when I checked in and the other CMs said it the same way.

These 2 places are among our favorites at Disney. But both are so different, so it's tough to give you a recommendation. The food and choices at Boma are amazing - it gives you the opportunity to pick and choose and try things. They have the best soups anywhere!

But Sanaa is also quite amazing. As someone mentioned above, the bread offerings are very good. I literally could go there just for bread, spreads, and dessert!! But they have many other delicious meals, too. If you go there, ask your server for recommendations, especially if you like or don't like the food spicy. They are usually knowledgeable and helpful. Enjoy!

Boma hands down for dinner or breakfast. Sanaa for me was just horrible. I guess I'm not into African / Indian inspired food. The atmosphere was great and the server was top notch but the food was ...... not so good.

Boma tends to be crowded and LOUD. If you are looking for a more relaxing sit down meal then I would suggest Sanaa. If you do not mind CHAOS children running around and buffets then the food at Boma is excellent! Both have wonderful food, the atmosphere's are different though due to the service vs. buffet.

If one doesn't like Indian food, would one not care for the food at Boma? I and my kids are not big fans of Indian food at all. I made an ADR there for August and now I'm thinking I should change.

Boma is African inspired. Sanaa seems to be the one with an Indian flair.

Both are good and vastly different. But, a reason for Boma: SOUP- If they have the Ginger/Carrot or Butternut Squash, youll keep a bowl at the table..Then there are the Zebra Domes

Oh, if you do NOT care for Indian inspired food then you will NOT like Sanaa. Boma is African inspired, to me, in name only. The food is VERY Americanized !! Boma has great breakfast and dinner !! :thumbsup::mickey:

My vote is for Sanaa! We had a great meal there and were lucky enough to get a table next to the windows! To be fair, I am not a fan of buffets so that is my main reason for not choosing Boma.

These are two of our favorites. Have you looked at the menus? I would agree that if you like Indian food Sanaa is a great choice and that there are many "American" type foods such as prime rib and chicken fingers at Boma if you are afraid you won't like the "African" inspired options. I love all the food at both restaurants and also enjoy the ambiance of both resorts. Sanaa has a wonderful view of the animals which we enjoyed very much. We found Sanaa to be more elegant and quiet, but we love the variety at Boma. The soups and salads at Boma are my favorite part. I don't think there is a bad choice, but I would choose Sanaa if I could pick only one. But we always do both! :) And as an aside the gift shops at each resort are really unique and fun.
