I should add, we've done 3 cruises to the Caribbean (both on Disney and non-Disney), and also sailed from Barcelona and Stockholm. If you have any chance at all, take a cruise to Europe. Everyone is friendly and there are very few, if any, language problems. If you've heard any rumors about Americans being treated poorly they probably deserved it. We have had great luck and met nothing but wonderful people, even the locals in restaurants, shops, etc. Disney will not take you anywhere that isn't safe. Take my advice, and go and enjoy.
