Boat rentals

If you are staying off property, can you still rent boats/canoes at the resorts or do you have to be a resort guest? A friend is going down a couple days earlier than the rest of her family and staying in their timeshare before checking in.

I am almost certain that anyone of age can rent.

A good rule of thumb is that if you are willing to give Disney money, they will take it.
