Today is a walk to DHS. We wanted to do DHS in the morning and World Showcase in the afternoon/evening. We take the pleasant walk from BW. Get there a little bit early and make our way to the front of the RnRC pack. The ride is not open yet. It does not open until for about 10 minutes. That delay made the next wait over 45 minutes already so no second ride. We do ToT through standby and again with our FP. We shop and trade pins on the way over to Star Tours. We go through standby and then use our FPs. Look around a bit, hit Muppets, and trade pins. We have about 45 minutes for our FPs to TSMM so we have a bite to eat at the Commisary.

After hitting TSMM, we start our slow walk out, looking at stores, trading pins. We happened on Hollywood Public works. Sparky, Zeke, and Gus were performing. We watched them for about 15 minutes cracking up laughing. We enjoyed seeing Sparky prove 13 x 7 is 28. You have to see it to understand it. It was a lot of fun for us as we were heading out.

It is a little after noon. We catch a Friendship boat back to BW. Because the first stop is the Swan, we got off to walk back to BW. It is a faster way to get back. We walk by the main pool with games about to start. We get to the room and DD goes down to play pool games for a bit but it was a little too cold to be comfortable. After bit she asks to go to DTD. Of course, this was at about 4:30 and the start of rush hour. We were taking the bus and we waited 45 minutes. This was the only slow bus experience, but it killed the plans for the night. We got to DTD at almost 5:45. There were long lines to get dinner at places and we had not planned on having to be there for dinner. We shopped a little more, traded a few pins, and decided to sit at the bar at Rainforest Cafe. It made waiting a lot less painful. We didn;t get back to BW until a little after 8PM. With WS closing at 9PM, we just watched BW performers and enjoyed the night on the boardwalk,

One minor issue with the BW performers. They only do one show. I am sure the performances have to be approved by WDW, but allow them some freedom to have different versions.

BW Performers (don't know all of their names):
Ker Denny: Great magician and part comedian
Coney Island Chris: Very funny comedian and juggler
Max: Juggling/catching cups. Very funny comedian.
Squeaky Guy: Plays Italian tunes for a comedy/audience participation act.
Balancing guy: did a balancing and juggling act.

We go often enough. There are very few "must-do's" any more. We prefer getting to see the off-the-beaten-path things. Experiencing Hollywood Public Works for the first time was the best thing of the day.

I do not like to have such a hardcore plan at WDW. It can quickly become stressful. We experienced parents acting inappropriately to their children because they were afraid of a ride. We just go with the flow and do what we want when we want. If we can't do it, oh well...next time.

What a fun morning at DHS. Happening upon Hollywood Public Works is a great example of how you never see everything at Disney - there is always something different around the corner!

"The best-laid plans . . . " Glad to hear that the delayed bus didn't ruin your evening. Another great day! :mickey:
