I'll update this first post each day with the forecast (though I'll occasionally miss a day), both long and short term. As a general rule, up to 7 days is a pretty accurate forecast, beyond that it's educated guessing and largely dependent upon how well the models are doing at that moment, which is why I call it "voodooland." If you have any specific weather questions or comments, even if it's for an area other than WDW, please post and I'll answer throughout the thread. I'll also post weather tidbits every so often. Without further delay, let's get to the forecast:

Weather at WDW - Update Friday pm, February 27, 2015
Today was slightly more overcast than expected, which will keep the high at 58. Fortunately, most of the rain is staying south of Orlando. Scattered showers will be possible again tomorrow and Sunday, especially tomorrow. Nothing constant, just hit and miss stuff. But, the high tomorrow should warm to 71-73 then 76-78 for Sunday. Monday through Wednesday looks mostly dry with only a 20% chance of a passing shower in the afternoon. The high Monday and Tuesday will be around 80 then 80-82 for Wednesday. Rain and thunderstorms become widespread throughout the day on Thursday with a high probably hitting 75 early in the morning before beginning to drop. Today's models are showing the front stalling out. This is still the edge of voodooland, however, so we'll need to keep watching. I don't think the models have a good handle yet on exactly where the front will end up. For today, though, it looks like Friday could still be wet with off and on light showers and a high around 60.

Long range...March 7-8 periods of showers and thunderstorms still look likely with a high in the low 70s. March 9-13 finally dries out with highs in the low to mid 70s. Rain and thunderstorms arrive on March 14. March 15 clears out with a high in the mid 60s.

Travel Issues :drive::plane:
Minor delays with icing in Dallas this afternoon. Some delays will be possible tomorrow over eastern OK, AR, MO, TN, and KY.

Any of you who are nervous about flying, especially related to turbulence, go here (http://www.sfgate.com/travel/article/Turbulent-air-travel-nothing-to-fear-4058671.php) and here (http://www.askcaptainlim.com/-fear-of-flying-flying-48.html) to learn a lot about turbulence and other issues that sometimes cause anxiety when flying. Hopefully all of this will help you relax and enjoy the trip to WDW more!

I just wanted to tell you how awesome you are. I grew up in Phoenix, so I never really thought about weather forecasting. It isn't too hard of a job there - "today it will be sunny and hot" unless it is monsoon season. Then it is "today it will be raining and hot".
I am currently on a contract in New Mexico. The forecast was for snow one day this week. The day before it was projected to snow, it was so cold, the wind was blowing and I could hear thunder. I thought for sure that it would start snowing, but it didn't snow until the day they said it would. I was really amazed at how accurate they were.

Thanks so much! I wish we were always accurate. Sometimes Mother Nature throws us for a loop but when that happens I try to study the data, learn from it, and do better next time.

Thank you Chris. With your forecast, our final preparations for our trip are made. Leaving tomorrow evening, after another cold winter her in Pennsylvania, we are sure ready for some Florida sunshine!

That is all any of us can do with anything in life. :D
