For those of us whose teams did not make the playoffs, we can start thinking about next year .

Did any of the coaching moves surprise you? None of the firings surprised me, but I was surprised to hear that Coughlin would be back with the Giants next year. I thought he would be gone.

Who/what position do you want your team to draft in the first round? As I am a Bucs fan, we have the first overall pick. I really hope if they are going to draft a quarterback, they choose Mariotta and stay as far away from Jamesis Winston as possible. That guy is nothing but trouble with a capital T!

I'm just glad we no longer have to listen to Rex Ryan's post game line week after week "they just didn't play like Jets" :)

Eagles need 2 cornerbacks this offseason, Carrie Williams and Bradley Fletcher ruined our season for us. :bang: They need to resign Maclin and possibly get 1 more WR and/or a hard hitting safety.

Also I never want to see Sanchez in an Eagles uniform again, I have never liked him even when he was winning us games. He can't throw a ball down field and has terrible accuracy

I hope they can get back to the playoffs next year! :football:

The Giants need to add a couple O and D linemen, maybe a linebacker, and tweak one or two other things and they can be really good.

Vikings maybe made their best offseason move last year by bringing in Mike Zimmer from Cincy to be head coach.

Losing Matt Cassel right off the bat followed by what would have been a hall of fame running back in Adrian Peterson, would have doomed most teams, but the Vikings still quietly put up a solid season. Not a playoff team by far, but only a few minutes away in certain games and they could have been 10-6.

Vikes need to address their backfield situation, so they have starter if Peterson doesn't come back. I'd like to see a go to WR as well. Greg Jennings is getting older and Corderelle Patterson showed regression in his sophomore year. Need WR that can run routes. A little "O" line help wouldn't hurt either.

It appears Teddy Bridgewater will be the QB of the future, so no need to address that this year.

Good point, there isn't any great name available to replace him. I was just thinking after 12 years, it may be time for some new blood. He may also want to slow it down a bit and take a job in the front office, though he is younger than I thought. I thought he looked old when I was at BC the same time as him ;) .

As a Vikings fan, I would love to hear your opinion of the whole Adrian Petersen situation.

Ditto for me.

And Demeco Ryans? Pretty serious injury, older player, may not be the same guy.

I think had it not happened right on the heals of the Ray Rice debacle and a few other domestic instances that occurred at the same time in the league, the outcome would have been a lot different. To some extent Peterson got made the poster child for the NFL cracking down, again especially after botching the handling of Ray Rice.

The guy is unbelievable on the field, I was at the game against the Chargers when he rushed for 297 I think it was. But he probably has a better chance of suiting up in a Cowboys uniform next year than as a Viking. Only way he comes back as a Viking (assuming he adheres to all the league protocols put in place) is if he takes a paycut or restructures his current deal. His salary isn't guaranteed for next year, but his salary cap # is over $15M. I don't see management, despite the coach showing support, signing off on that huge $$. Especially since the trend in the NFL right now is to go away from the single back workhorses. There are exceptions like DeMarco Murray and Marshawn Lynch, but those are becoming more the exception and not the rule.

I have an AP jersey in my closet, don't know if its coming out next year.

IMO Eagles need the following in priority order:

Corner
Corner
Safety
Linebacker
Offensive line depth
Pass rusher

Unfortunately, I suspect we also need a quarterback, but I do believe Foles has done enough to warrant another season as the starter. I hate to think we might waste a year again on a QB experiment, but the truth is there's no other option anyway so it really doesn't matter.
