I was rolling through the channels the other morning and caught the beginning of Enchanted. Does Giselle make appearances at WDW? Not that we're looking for her but I was just curious. Does she get equal standing with Cinderella, Aurora, Jasmin and the rest?

She was out briefly when the movie first came out, but not since then. And, no, she's not really counted among the pantheon of princesses.

It's a shame. Such a good movie and princess

I believe I read once that Disney would have to pay a royalty to Amy Adams for the use of her likeness since Giselle is not (primarily) an animated princess

I've heard the same thing. I wonder if there's a contractual statute of limitations on that.

I wouldn't think that would be a huge issue, though. I mean, Harrison Ford's likeness appears on a billion Indiana Jones and Han Solo toys, games, lunch boxes, clothing, etc. And it's not like Amy Adams owns the intellectual rights to the character. I'm sure if Disney really wanted to use the character in the parks they could do it with no problem. I think she just doesn't fit in the animated pantheon of princesses since she's "live action."

Honestly- I don't consider her a princess as she never marries the prince

No. The evil queen is related to the prince

I don't think Disney would have to pay anything to Amy. she played a character.
