Much like the earlier introduced Tower of Terror video discussed here (http://www.intercot.com/discussion/showthread.php?t=206247), today WDW rolled out video and pictures for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train that will appear on your linked My Disney Experience and Magic Band for those that have purchased the Memory Maker package.

Details from Disney Parks Blog:

“Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho, it’s off to work we go!” That song brings up such great memories from my childhood favorite, “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” We’ve been busy working on top-secret enhancements to the Disney PhotoPass Service and the Memory Maker product, and we’re excited to announce a new “gem” today.

What would you say if I told you that you could take home a special gem that would have you reliving all the fun and excitement of your moments aboard the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train attraction … your race through the diamond mine as you whisked across the rolling stone bridges, through diamond pass and into the forest to the Dwarfs’ cottage?

Just released today, we are excited to add a photo and video memento at Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Now, when you ride the attraction with a MagicBand and a linked Memory Maker entitlement you will have your photo and video automatically associated to your My Disney Experience account.

You’ll also be able to view, download and share the photo and video of your Family & Friends Connections and Managed Guests who also experienced Seven Dwarfs Mine Train while wearing a MagicBand.

So, hop aboard Seven Dwarfs Mine Train with fellow miners and begin collecting your magical memories with your MagicBand and Memory Maker.

Strange choice of attraction to choose this for...

I'm guessing 'cause it is new, it was easy to add/set-up?

I also guess it is fun to include a ride that the kids will be on, and to "increase" the value of the Memory Maker?

I agree. It's the hottest thing going, why not add it here?

I would guess the photo feature was included in the design plans for this attraction from day one. Seems to me it would only be logical to add this feature to new attractions as they open.

so if someone in your group rides TOT but you dont, then will it still put the video on your Memory Maker?

I have not personally seen how well this is working, but on our last trip it was hit-or-miss regarding whether or not photos got matched with us appropriately. If my son rode anything without one of us, 0% of the time were the photos automatically matched with our account. It was still in a testing period then, though.

Now that ToT has a video, will there still be a picture? What about 7D, will it have a picture with the video as well?

Oh great. Another thing that I don't "need", didn't "want" but now I MUST HAVE when we go back to WDW.

I swear their marketing people have a poster of my face when they come up with this stuff. From Pal Mickey to the light up ears to this, I get reeled in every time....

Just got back yesterday and haven't had time to download our MM yet, but I am really looking forward to the video from our 7D ride! Unfortunately Kid 1 hated it, but the rest of us had a blast. Should make for some interesting photos too!

I was told that the main person who had the memory maker linked to their magic band had to be on the attraction in order for it to automatically link.

We have teenagers in the family and when they split up from us and went on attractions without me - they would text me their photo # and I would go to a Photopass kiosk and have them add it to my magic band there.

This was not the case with "normal" photopass people (in front of the park etc) - those photos automatically went into the memory maker account from anyone's wristband.

I sure hope they fix this - as it as annoying to check up after - but I did it because I wanted my money's worth..... In fact, last year was going to be our last year of doing this - but now with videos available, I may reconsider!!! :mickey:

I was told that as well, but the time we rode it we did not have a MB, except for my mom. The MM was associated with my account and it still loaded to our MM account. I did hear rumor that you can go to the guest services to add the picture, but not sure on that.
