This week begins the year long 100th anniversary of Rocky Mountain National Park.

If anyone is interested in visiting this park, with more focus on natural rather than touristy sights, I highly recommend the western side of the park.

What state or states is it in. I am embarrassed but I never heard of it. I know where the Rocky Mountains are...is that whole area considered the National Park?

Go to Denver and hang a right (go north). West of Estes Park, if you've heard of that town. Think of the movie The Shining.

The National Park is basically the section of the Rocky Mountains in the north central part of Colorado. East of the Nat'l Park is the plains, and west is . . . well, more mountains. :D

www.nps.gov/romo is the website.

Enjoy!
