Contemporary discounts?

Although I know there is never any guarantee, does anyone have any experience with past discounts at the Contemporary? We booked it for next July and we were hoping for the 30% discount but see that the just announced discounts are only 20%. Now Im a little panicked. Any experience and advice would help. TIA!

Discounts fluctuate depending on how booked they are. July discounts are generally lower, if they exist, because it's one of the most popular months. My guess is don't expect much of a discount then be pleasantly surprised if there is one versus expecting one and then being disappointed. Some months of the year you can almost always count on some kind of discount, but July is iffy. Some years there is, some years not.

The best thing to do is wait on booking until discounts are announced. They only offer discounts when there are too many unsold rooms. Contemporary is a convention resort so it's harder to come by discounts for that one.
