As a DVC member staying using points, are there any advantages of using a Disney travel agent?

I don't think I've used an agent for booking points since becoming a member. I have used an agent when booking another type of vacation - not involving my points.

We stopped using a travel agent after our 2nd visit to WDW.

I'm an agent (not trying to self-promote) and also a DVC member.

Responding as an agent, I wouldn't work on a DVC trip. We make our living on the commission generated from the sale of packages and tickets to the Disney destinations. As a DVC member, you wouldn't need a package and likely wouldn't need tickets (using APs, etc.) So there wouldn't be any money in it for us.

As Faline mentioned, if you weren't using points, an agent would be a great tool to save you time with dining, BBB/PL, tours, air, etc.

I have not used a travel agent since 1999 for any travel.

There are MANY trustworthy, Disney authorized travel agents (as many of us familiar with the board know).

However, I wouldn't use a TA for DVC.

:mickey:I agree with previous posters. No need to use a TA for DVC. We have, on occasion, used Magical Journeys when we have run out of points and need a Disney "fix" and they have been great.

I don't think you can use a travel agent to book DVC as they only accept calls from members.
