I'm so JEALOUS! I'll be there for Steven Curtis Chapman for the last couple of nights.

So is it crazy or stupid to think that we can get to see a show on 12/29 or 12/30 without a package? We really don't want the package even though we are dining at Via Napoli anyway. We don't want the appetizer or dessert.

I booked online and it doesn't tell you which performance you are going to. Makes it hard to do fastpass + if you want to. Don't really want to ring from the UK!

You can probably see the show on those evenings without a package; Just plan on standing in the stand-by line a long time. A LONG time; probably 2-3 hours, at least. It's the most crowded week of the year.

I got this off another website regarding reservations:

NOTE: There will be specific dining reservation times for each show as follows: for the 5 p.m. show reservation for dining must be between 12:30 and 2:30 p.m.; for the 6:45 p.m. show dining must be between 3:30 and 4:15 p.m.; and for the 8:15 show dining must be between 4:20 and 5:45 p.m.

It also didn't tell me how much I'm going to pay although I cancelled on the last page before I actually confirmed it.

This is a first for me... I have reservations already for the 17th to see Sharon Stone. What is this, singing, a story, both?

What is this, singing, a story, both? It's a show that is a celebrity narrator reading the Christmas story from the bible with an orchestra and chorus that sing during various parts of it. It's a beautiful show and worth seeing.

Not much of an announcement. Most of the slots are TBA. I wonder if they are having a problem with getting people to commit.

It's still early yet. We'll probably see some additional narrators announced in August.

I really hope Neil Patrick Harris comes back. Saw him 2 years ago. And really want to do another package for him.

This is my favorite program! It sends chills down my spine every single time.

Planning on attending the week of 12/19-12/26. Do you think I should book a package? Would prefer not to, but not sure how easy it would be to just walk in to. Thoughts?

We might have been sitting next to you, saw NPH in 2012. Did a CP package at Garden Grill before the show.

Hands down my favorite holiday activity at WDW.

I'm not sure I've ever heard the words Candlelight Processional and "just walk in" used in the same phrase :D

I would say that if you want to guarantee seating, and guarantee it for the show that you want, book a package. I've seen people lined up for the 2nd show not make the rope and have to wait until the 3rd show.

If by "walk in" you mean show up 2-3 hours before first performance, then yes, you can walk in. It is a very deceptively large theater, but even the reserved package line stretches out for quite some distance, the standby line can easily double or triple that, its that popular.
