Earlier this week, parts of Virginia also had cheaper gas.

Tip: Get one of those Shell Fuel Network cards. They're free and you get 3c off per gallon. You can also earn money off with points under the caps of shell synthetic oil products (Shell, Penzoil, Quaker State) as well as oil changes. If you'd like I can PM you a referral link.

.....New Jersey has the cheapest gas

....but ...unless you're car has a 60 gallon gas tank ...you're out of luck.

My Expedition holds 30 gallons I think.

My Expedition holds 30 gallons I think.

.....I think you're correct with the capacity. You probably get about 19 mpg ...depending on the size engine you have.

....my wife has a 2006 Ford Freestar with a 3.9L V-6 ....and it's rated at 23 mpg ....but we've always (amazingly) got between 25 and 28 mpg on our WDW trips.

....I fill up in NJ the morning we leave ...and don't stop again for gas until Roanoke Rapids, NC. And I still have about 1/4 tank (I never let it get lower than that). That's also about 6 hrs into our trip ...and we grab lunch there too. At the present ...most of the prices I've seen in NC were between $3.50 and $3.65 / gallon.

....we don't gas up again until we're ready to stop for the night ...which is usually in southern Georgia (but NEVER near Savannah!! The prices there are at least 20 cents a gallon higher!!)

....in general ...unless there is some crisis in the middle east that will spike oil prices ....gas should stay in the $3.50 to $3.75 / gallon range.

....I should add ...my parents live in Staten Island ...and I make sure my car is filled up before I go visit them ...because the NYC gas prices are insane!! Most are +$4.00/gallon!!!

We left (near) Pittsburgh, I topped off just befor I hit VA, then in SC. I again topped off before I hit GA and made it to Daytona with plenty to spare...I then made it to Disney! Gas outside MK today when we were over there was $3.49 which is the cheapest I've seen,,,,here in Daytona it $3.53 and up, but races were still in town. I drive a Toyota Tundra.

Just paid $3.37 in Salisbury, NC which is off I-85, not I-95. Hess Station's seem to be the most competitive. At Sheets with my Sheets Discount Card I got it for $3.34.:car:
