Fast Pass Question

Asking for a friend. If you are going to MK for the day and are not staying on property (just have the one day ticket), can you still get the 3 fastpasses for the day? Will the ticket be a card or will they issue a magic band?

If they're buying their tickets at the park they will be able to do FP+ once inside. If they buy the tickets beforehand they can book FP+ 30 days out. They will get a ticket with the option to buy a magic band for $12.95.
