I understand the F & W Festival begins this year on September 19. Any chance they will do a Soft Opening a day or two early? Also, When do they release the Eat To The Beat Concert Series Performers?

They've never done a "soft opening" for the F&WF that I know of. The concerts are usually released sometime during the summer.

Generally they do a cast preview of the Food & Wine booths the Thursday before it opens which would be Sept 18th. Even though it is for cast anyone can go. It normally starts around noon and may not include all the booths. There is also not a definite stop time. I went last year and most of the booths were open.

There is never a guarantee that they will do it but if you are at WDW, it is worth checking out.

not going to link the eat to the beat line up (thus far), but it is out there on some common blogs and there are 6 acts booked so far. still waiting for my weekend (oct 16-20) to be announced. last year it was night ranger...and it was fantastic.

Sister Hazel is a regular performer as well, since they're from Jacksonville. Check them out. Great, great, underrated band.

I was actually waiting to see if Edwin McCain Band was returning this year, I know they enjoyed there time at Disney!

Cindy is correct, they usually open up on Thursday afternoon before opening day, and it's a great time to go! I prefer indulging at Food & Wine during the early afternoon hours anyway.

I've seen a tentative list of Eat to the Beat performers, but Edwin McCain is not listed...yet.

We did the Thursday afternoon early open last year and it was crazy busy. We stopped at a few of the booths then got out of there. Guess everyone is on to the early open.
