So where is a good sit down single credit restaurant that can be fun for a solo traveler? One night of our trip the rest of our big crew is going to do something else and I'm going to have some down time for cocktails and dinner. If free dining ever shows up we should have that so something that is just one credit would be good.

Beaches and Cream is fun if you sit at the counter. Kona's is ok. Garden Grill wasnt bad alone either. Most of the time I just get counter service. One time I even went to California Grill and sat at a small counter and talked to the sushi chef- that was fun to watch closeup.
Do you like to eat at the bar? (http://www.intercot.com/discussion/showthread.php?t=162867)

Teppan Edo is fun solo!!! You are never really "alone" since you are seated with other people. And it's nice to meet and chat Disney with random strangers. A buffet type of restaurant like Hollywood and Vine at HS (or Biergarten^^) might be ok since you wouldn't have to sit there like a spoon and "wait" for food. The bar at Rainforest Cafe is fun too. I think Via Napoli (Epcot) has take out pizza. I've been wanting to try that.

Another good place (and my favorite ) is 50s Prime Time. I've frequently eaten solo here (always at a table). I love the atmosphere and interacting with my server as well as my fellow diners is always part of the fun.

ive gone to meals solo. don't like places like Biergarten or Teppan Edo solo as I like to sit alone those times. bar is a good choice though. Ive done Tokyo Dining, Artist Pt and some other places which have good service and food

Another vote for 50s Prime Time. Unless you are after quiet- then definitely don't go there! :mickey:
