Several MK Attractions "Temporarily Closed" {Thunderstorms}

MDE app on iPhone showing several MK attractions "Temporarily Closed". By several, I mean nearly half the rides in the park.

Is this a glitch, so is something wrong?

A thunderstorm with some lightning just rolled through, I imagine all the outdoor rides were temporarily closed for that.

Yep, that's what it was. All the outside attractions were listed. I didn't make the connection.

So has anyone actually experienced this situation and seen how Disney handles the missed FP+ appointments people have during the "closed" window? Does Disney have a formal or informal system to handle it, or is the Guest just SOL.

When I experienced a closed ride, the app indicated the ride was closed and "issued" a fastpass to use on any ride at any time. I also received an email telling me of the change. That was a neat feature.

Sounds like they are getting better with that.
