When to link tickets?

Hi everyone!

We are leaving next Saturday for our off-site trip, and our first park day will be Tuesday. I have already set up a MDE account for myself and (hopefully) attached an account for my sister to mine. We have paper tickets that we will be converting to RFID, hopefully at DTD the first night we are in Florida. Should I bother trying to link the tickets now, or will I just have to change them after they are converted (not sure if serial numbers or whatever will be the same).

Also: We have ten days and will likely only use three. Will the rest of the tickets just kind of hang out in our MDE accounts for our next trip?

Did you buy the no-expiration option for your 10 day tickets?

My understanding is you can link tickets to your account as soon as you have a valid ticket and ticket number with which to do so. If you are staying in a Disney property this would also allow you to select your fastpass+ options prior to your arrival as long as you have also linked your room reservations to your account as well.
