Sanibel Island ???

Looking to try a new vacation stop this Spring.....I have a friend that suggests Sanibel Island for a nice, relaxing vacation.

Can anyone give me some information on good places to stay, eat, and drink in the Sanibel area?

We haven't stayed in sanibel but did visit during our last trip to sarasota in march 2013. IMO, sanibel was just ok. There wasn't much to do there and the beaches weren't ones that I would swim in. It's nice for a day trip but that's about it. Also wasn't too impressed with captiva either.
For a relaxing vacation with plenty to do and beautiful beaches, sarasota and siesta key beach is the way to go. :thumbsup:
