So it looks like Spice Road Table is open! (Soft opening only)

The menu (small plates only) consists of:

Mussel tagine
with cilantro, lemon confit, garlic and tomato sauce

Salt Cod Croquettes
with Sundried Tomato aioli and black olive tapenade

Fried Calamari
with spicy Harissa and Remoulade sauces

Lamb slider
Brioche, cucumber dill and Tzatziki sauce
Hummus and Olives with Flatbread

Spicy Shrimp
with dried chili and fried garlic

Mediterranean Omelette
with potato, red pepper and caramelized onions

Moroccan Merguez Sausage
North African Lamb sausage with tomato, red onion and cilantro salad

Rice Stuffed Grape Leaves
with Fried capers, raisins and fresh nutmeg

Harissa Chicken Roll
with Harissa ketchup

What do you all think? No ADR's and doesn't take DDP.

There's also a 'juice bar' (that doesn't seem to have any juice:confused:), that has housemade ice cream with some interesting flavours:

Strawberry & Red Bean
Green Tea
Chocolate & Cinnamon
Pistachio & Orange Blossom Water
Toasted Almond & Rosewater

Think I might make a stop here on my next trip in March!

No ADRs and doesn't take DDP because it's a small plates/tapas style place. Servings are small and not that expensive, with the idea that you order a bunch of things for the table and share. Dining this way can add up, of course, but it's impossible to really count anything as an entree. I think it looks good. I love dining small plates style.

Worth nothing that Brown Derby has opened their patio where they offer a similar service. Brown Derby inside is still a signature that takes DDP (two credits) but outside on the patio is another story. Small plates, no ADRs, no DDP. Also like the Tutto Gusto wine bar. I really like that Disney is trying this approach with a few different venues. Especially in the summer when it's hot, I prefer to have a few small meals here and there instead of one big one.

I think we'll pop the Brown Derby lounge and Tutto Gusto on our list of places to keep an eye out for! We're having our first 'adult only' trip, and we're only making 2 ADR's, so to have these kind of places as walk-ups will certainly make our trip more enjoyable!

Sitting here right now, after I devoured my seafood tapas sampler.

Best food of the trip, reminded me of F&W... Small bites of many things. Calimari cooked perfect, croquettes were delicious, and the mussels a nice surprise.

Since it was soft open, service was over the top good.

Will be back for sure

I'm so excited to try it! Everything sounds amazing and I saw a list of the cocktails last night and they sound great too.

....I saw some pic's of the 'small plates' elsewhere. Though they appear tasty ...they don't seem all that much larger than those that they offer at F&W Festival.

....yet the prices are almost double of those for F&W offerings. I wonder how that'll play out when F&W rolls around? Between a few different plates and a drink ...you're easily able to drop $40 bucks.

I can't wait to try it when I get there in March. We aren't on ddp since we are passholders. I usually eat lunch at Tangierine Cafe. But this will be a nice change.

OOoooo, I'm happy to read this! I walked by the new restaurant on Tuesday and was so impressed with the structure, itself. It's really impressive. Adding to my MUST list! :number1:
