universal dining plan

I was wondering if you had to be staying at an universal resort in order to purchase the meal plan. and also if we got park to park does this one day meal plan go for both parks or just one

I did some digging and it seems that it depends on which meal package you're booking.

The "Universal Dining Plan" (the one with a sit-down meal) requires a resort booking.

The "Universal Quick Service Plan" is bookable for anyone, you don't have to be staying on-site.

You can use the QS meal in either park (or a snack in one park, and the meal in another), but overall the plan really doesn't add much value (you'll basically break-even on cost). The old, unlimited plan was a much better deal.
