Room Assignments at Check In

Why does it take so long to get checked in at a particular resort? I've stayed at the Values and the Deluxes, and the process is the same. The CM has to hit about a million keystrokes in order to find a room for me.

Is there one HUGE computer with every single room in Disney World listed? Would it be easier if each resort had it own system? Can someone tell me what's going on?

We checked in very quickly and easily at Port Orleans Riverside recently. Be sure to make use of the online check-in before you get there, as well as indicating the likely time you will be there. We got there right on time, checked in very easily, and our room was ready for us as well. This is one area they've really improved on over the years.
