Illuminations Viewing Fastpass+

Just curious, what about the FP+ option for Illuminations? Is it worth it? Whats it all about? Thanks:)

The viewing area for the Illuminations FP+ is located near the 2 Tower gift shops. There have been good and bad reviews on it most having to do with the crowd and the direction of the wind.

We just used a FP+ for Illuminations this past Saturday. At first we thought that the view wasn't any better than others around the lake but once the show started we realized we were closer than we have been in the past. It was by the gift shops..actually right behind one. A CM was standing at the back of the gift shop doors to stop others from getting into the area. It was roped off and they scanned our bands for entry. Illuminations started at 10 that night and they started letting us into the area around 9:30. It wasn't crowded at all. We had used the other two FP+ earlier in the day for Soarin and TT and loved how the bands and the whole system worked. It was so nice not having to rush to the attraction to set up FP's.
