From the Disney Parks Blog:

We just got word from our friends in Walt Disney Imagineering that an Adventureland attraction will receive its first-ever holiday makeover this year. Beginning in early November, Jungle Cruise at both Disneyland park and Magic Kingdom Park will temporarily transform into “Jingle Cruise” for the holiday season!

In this new seasonal storyline of the attraction, the Skippers have grown homesick for the holidays, so they’ve added holiday cheer to the Jungle Cruise queue and boathouse with decorations that have been mailed to them from home (plus a few they’ve created themselves). The Skippers have also added a slew of new jokes to their tours that are the perfect way to get guests in the holiday spirit. Additionally, Jungle Cruise boats have been renamed with the holidays in mind, and if guests listen carefully, they may hear a holiday-themed radio broadcast playing in the background.

Jingle Cruise will begin launches in early November at both parks. Be sure to keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for more updates!

Sounds pretty cool. Hopefully it'll become an annual thing as I won't make it down for this holiday season.

Yup, Sounds cool

If Disneyland in Cali can have the Haunted Mansion redone for the Holidays...Nice that Fl is doing something too.

Sounds great. Now I have a reason for a November/December trip next year if they make it an annual thing.

Do we know how soon we will get to see this? We will be there 11/4-11/9 (we will be at the 1st night of MVMCP)... do we think it will have made the transition by then?

Probably, at least by the end of your trip, but right now no start date has been released. Only "early November".

I've always liked the idea of the temporary holiday overlays. Great way to quickly add some additional fun. In all the years (13, now I believe) that the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay has been at Disneyland, I've never actually experienced it. That is going to change on Thursday (Halloween). We're leaving Anaheim on the 5th so we'll probably miss seeing this 'Jingle Cruise' overlay by a few days :(.

I guess this means we'll actually ride Jungle Cruise this coming trip. We haven't done this attraction in several years.

I am glad to see this development.

It seems to me, even on Christmas Day, once you get off of Main Street at MK and the Florida sun has us happy in short sleeves, it's easy to forget it's Christmas time.

Now if they'd just UNCHEAP and bring back a Country Bears Jamboree Holiday Show...

The ride queue is decorated and they changed the names of the boats with "rustic" overlays which is cute. The jokes are "Christmas" themed are some are clever. I rode it twice and the second skipper was better than the first. As with every jungle cruise, the skipper makes (or breaks) the adventure.
