Magic Band without active park passes

Our magic bands arrived in the mail the other day but we cannot add FP plus to them because we are getting an AP when we arrive in Disney. The question is has anyone added FP plus after arriving at the resort. If so are there many choices available that short of notice.

Not sure where things stand now but, on our last trip in August (last month), we were unable to get bands or take part in fast pass plus. We activated our annual pass vouchers on that trip. Instead, we were provided with credit card type plastic cards which provided admission with the new turnstyles and could be used with the regular fast pass machines.

Have you already ordered your APs? If so, they have updated the MDE system to accept will call confirmation numbers for APs that are being picked up.

We have our bands in hand. Actually we have a split stay and each have 2 bands. Our renew date for our AP was July. We became DVC members last month and will renew our AP with DVC discount at end of Oct when we check in. The reason for this is our last trip was May and rather than renew in July we will get more if our renew date is Oct since we always go in Oct and May. My understanding was a voucher was not applicable. That said our original ????? was are the FP Plus still available at days before. Has anyone added FP Plus after they checked in.

Does this apply to renewal or new AP. We will buy a new AP voucher if we are able to access Fast pass plus with a voucher # rather than an actual AP

Give member services a call and confirm. You should be able to order your APs held at will call rather than a voucher mailed. If you go into MDE, add tickets there is a place now for those will call confirmation numbers. They will be able to tell you if DVC AP apply.
