Stripping tickets off keys

If we get a package (in order to get dining) can we still get the ticket stripped off the key to be used on a future trip. We do not need the tickets for this trip. We have done this in the past, but not for several years. It could only be done at customer service at a park. I remember the tickets off the key at the gate outside Epcot. Thanks

For previous promotions where we've had to buy base tickets for a package when we had annual passes, our family just left them on the room key and I wrote with a sharpie when we came home that there were hoppers on them. However, last October I tried to separate my park tickets from my room key with dining plan. While I was told by several CMs at my resort that I couldn't do it because ASMusic was a "green" resort and they could not issue another piece of plastic, I went to Guest Services at Downtown Disney and had it done without a problem. :mickey:
