It's been about 3 or 4 years since I stayed in a Fort Wilderness Cabin. When we last stayed there, we had to rent some modem thingy (love my technical terms?!) to get internet access in our cabin. Is it the same way now or do they have wifi already accessible??

According to the Disney website, you'd need a cable connection if you were staying in a campsite but they are saying that cabins have wifi availability.

Resort Hotels
Enjoy complimentary wireless high-speed Internet access (Wi-Fi) in Guest rooms, cabins and most public spaces

Be aware, though, that wifi in Disney World can be a bit spotty.

I was just there last week and wifi was available for free in our cabin. As far as I know they are in all the cabins. They also are setup for RFID keycards to open your door, so Magic Band Ready.

I was able to a pick up the wi-fi in the 2000 loop from the 2100 loop cabins. You would probably need to be near the cabins on the early numbered sites. So yes, there is definitely wi-fi there at the cabins.
