Another fastpass+ question

Those of you who have gotten chosen to test the fastpass+ did you have tickets already connected to your reservation? We don't buy our tickets through Disney, will that lessen our chances of being picked? If for some reason we are picked do we just register our tickets online?

You would have to already have your tickets registered online through My Disney Experience to be "picked" for a FP+ trial.
