Disney Springs Renovation

I just read somewhere that Cap'n Jack's Restaurant in downtown Disney will be closing mid August to make way for Disney Springs construction.

What is the Disney Springs Renovation that is happening?

Complete reimagining of Pleasure Island and the surrounding areas. All the clubs have been, or in the process of being, removed. New parking garages and lots of shops and 'green areas' to be installed.

From all indications, this area will be pretty 'upscale.'

You may have heard it referred to, in the early planning stages, as Hyperion Wharf.
