Magic band questions

We are leaving in 20 days :party: and have been chosen to test the magic bands/fastpass + system. Disney recommends having the magic bands in your carry on luggage so they are accessible upon arrival to the world. My question is, what about plane security? Will putting them through the scanners mess anything up and do they need to be removed from actual luggage for scanner? Was just wondering.

Don't know what's in them but I suspect they can go through security without issue. After all, digital cameras and computers and other electronic routinely go through the security scanners without any issues.

An RFID chip (What creates the "magic" behind your magic band) will not be affected by any airport screening.

The great thing about RFID is that unless its being hit with the specific frequency (which is higher up on the spectrum) they remain dormant.
