Someone asked about the Western, but we are going Eastern and will be able to reserve our activities starting next week. Any good recommendations for our family - me, hubby, and our 2 girls ages 10 & 14?

I LOVE the Magen's Bay Beach Break in St. Thomas. It is a beautiful beach. It is short, but long enough to be at a beach (especially when you will be going to CC a few days later). We go there every time in St. Thomas.

In St. Maarten, we tend to just play it by ear. We like to shop there and visit the public beach right by the little ferry dock in town. The beach is free, but renting a chair costs. One trip we took a tour to the French side, so that was neat, but not for kids.

Thanks! We are actually debating between Magen's and Honeymoon Beach. And as far as St. Maarten, we are thinking of doing the Under Two Flags Island Tour to explore both French and Dutch side while our girls just stay onboard. Will DCL allow us to do that?

me and dw enjoyed this excursion very much, our driver was very very good. you do make a few stops along the way so that might make it easier for you if you decide to take the kids along, i believe it stops at a flea market type stop where you visit certain booths where they sell clothes and other island trinkets, and you can also walk across the street to a very small mall and also visit some local stores, i believe that was a 45min stop, then we stopped above St. Marteen to get a beautiful view, again it was very enjoyable, as far as DCL lettin g your kids stay on im sure thats ok? id would call them to find out, but imho i feel that they would enjoy that tour. hope this helps

Thank you Victor! I called DCL, and they said it's ok. My girls are not in to shopping (lucky me):D
