This is our first official day of vacation and we are heading down 2 days early on a room only reservation before our 12 day package starts on the 2nd of September. Was looking for a great place to watch The Fightin Irish of Notre Dame play on the 31st of August. Any cool places that will turn the game on for us? We have tried the ESPN Club at Boardwalk and it gets pretty crowded witht he SEC and ACC football games going on (very cool environment to be in if you have never done this) but I was looking for something a little more relaxed (DTD?? WWOS??). Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Tambu Lounge is great if it's not during a prime time 'Ohana seating, so for afternoon games. You could even spell it O'Hana just that once if you wanted the Irish feel. :)

Raglan Road in the bar area might also be a good one to try, though I don't remember how they are set up for games, if there's a TV.

The lounges and outside bars of all the Disney resorts have games on. If a popular game is on, the guests interested are there.

Being a ND home game (and for that matter probably all their games,) any place with a TV will have it available. What kind of atmosphere are you looking for? You want a real quiet place whrere the bartender will put it on just by asking?

The game starts at 3:30PM ET. It is a home game so NBC will definitely be playing it.

I am looking for a fun place to watch it. Not too quiet, but also not too crazy. I really liked the atmosphere at the ESPN Club but with the SEC/ ACC games on and the local teams drawing alot more fans with interest in their teams, it kind of felt like we were pushed into a corner to watch a TV with Notre Dame on while the fans of LSU, Alabama, FLA, Fla St. Georgia had their games shown on the big screens with audio. I really loved it when the above mentioned teams played each other tho. SEC/ ACC fans really get into it. Again, great atmosphere but when I watch an ND game, I like to have audio to complete the game time experience.

Really appreciate all the help fellow Intercotees!! :number1:

I would try anywhere BUT the ESPN Club. That place is always crazy busy. I would find a quiet spot at one of the resorts and enjoy the game in peace.
The bar at Port Orleans Riverside is never that busy and they must have a TV.

Resort lounges often don't open until later than that.

Technically, no, but we've been in the Tambu Lounge for Patriots games as early as 1 pm on a Sunday afternoon. They typically start serving a little later, but you can sit and watch the TV and they have served us snacks and drinks before the official opening lots of times. They're very accommodating, especially when games are on.

I've been at River Roost (POR's lounge) on Saturday afternoons during college football season. They have games on, but there isn't bar service until later.

If you have a car, I would recommend going to Miller's Ale House on 192 west of WDW. Lots of TV's with every game on.

Our favorite place to watch a game is at the bar by the pool at the Dolphin.
