To those of you that are coming to Washington,D.C. tomorrow to the next five days, there is an area of Prince Georges county , Maryland that will be without ANY WATER. A very large water main needs to be replaced and the water will be shut off from Wednesday July 17 to when WSSC completes the repair. If you are thinking of visiting the National Harbor-FORGET IT!! No water. I do hope if you are traveling and had reservations in an affected hotel that the hotel has called you by now. Please go to WSSCWater.com for more information.

Thanks for the heads-up. I do have a co-worker who is heading to DC for a stay at the Gaylord in the National Harbor area this weekend, so I forwarded your information on to her.

Water is back. Heard on the news tonight that WSSC was able to adjust the flow of water to another pipe so that the area has a limited water flow now. Everything should be open of Thursday.

They ended up not having to shut the water at all. Water restrictions are still in place though.
