If a park has reached capacity (MK), if you try to leave mid day, will they tell you if you can't return? Or do you have to ask?

We are going this week and I'm concerned the crowds are still a monster from the 4th. I'm ok with crowds, but capacity is another thing IMO.

I'm not sure if they'll tell you as you exit unless you ask, but the only time crowds reached capacity this week was at MK on the 4th and it only reached Phase 3, meaning that Disney resort guests, including those at the Swan, Dolphin, and Hotel Plaza Blvd hotels, AP holders, and guests with reservations at BBB, Pirates League, or any dining location were still able to get in. None of the other parks reached capacity nor did they completely close MK at Phase 4. I do know that there are signs posted out front and if you drive, you are told to turn around at the parking booths if you don't qualify to get in.

I think if you asked them, they would honesty say they don't know. No one has anyway of knowing how many people will clear out (or enter) at any givin time.

:ditto: However, I don't think you have anything to worry about. MK reached phase 3 closing on July 4th but it was the only park and none have been closed since the 4th.

I was quite surprised when we went to Magic Kingdom for a few hours on the 5th. It was pouring rain when we got there, but I was still expecting bigger crowds. We walked on Pirates and several other rides, Haunted Mansion was about 10 minutes and there were still fastpasses available for anything we wanted one for. It was much quieter than I was expecting and the crowds were completley managable.
