Okay - give me the inside scoop - what are the best kept secrets on the Disney Fantasy?!

You know, those little nooks and crannies that most people miss....the experiences that most overlook...the ones that just made your trip your extra special?

I sailed on the Fantasy in Oct- such a beautiful ship! I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but for me some of my favorites were:
*Make sure to catch the shows (I LOVED Aladdin)
*I enjoyed meeting the characters
*A trip or 2 (or more) on the AquaDuck
*Playing a game (or 2) of Midship Detective Agency (I enjoyed the Muppet one the most)
*all the different activities (I went to all the tivia and animation ones)
*Don't forget to go to Animator's Palette the night they do the animation show. It is a lot of fun
*Castaway Cay is a blast! I loved the water slides there

Thanks for the info. I've never heard about the Midship Detective Agency - is it similar to the interactive games you can play at Disney World?

Similar. Basically you are a detective helping solve mysteries on the ship (Dream has 2 cases, and Fantasy has 3- the same 2 from Dream plus an extra). You get a card and hold them up to certain paintings and have to find clues. So it is very close to Sorcerer's at MK

We did an Eastern on Royal Caribbean a couple of years ago so are looking forward to what this will bring!

The DCL one is nice too (plus I loved all the sea days)

Faline you are in for a real treat!! We sailed on one of the Inaugural trips last year on The Fantasy (Eastern itinerary) and have another scheduled for January 2014 (Western itinerary).

The Fantasy is a spectacular ship from top to bottom. And I can tell you I explored every square inch of that ship - and photographed it as well. (Not a fan of people in my photos so I would walk the ship sometimes at 3am to get the best shots!)

The shows were amazing as usual, the food was delicious and always available, but best of all the Disney Castmembers were friendly, helpful and seemed genuinely happy to be there!! Our Head Server would go so far as to take my shrimp and lobster out of the shells for me at the table - not sure that is a required service. And one day I left my Key to the World Card and Lanyard in one of the public restrooms. Before I ever returned to my cabin and realized it was gone, my daughter texted me to say a Castmember had already returned it! We are talking less than 10 minutes!

My point is...I can't say enough about our fantastic vacation on The Fantasy!

You'll have a great time. Find pepes door from the muppets midship game.... Look closely there is a note on the door" call me ". Dial the number on the ships phones and pepe will talk to you.
If you Appriciate art as strange as it will seem, check out the public bathrooms in the night club area the wall mosaics in them is incredible along this line take time to look at nemo mosaic in cabanas during a meal. A must do on the last night of cruise at about 10pm is the " if I were apon the sea " performed at one of the night clubs. Look it up on you tube for a good laugh. Enjoy the ship and shows.

Oh and speaking of night clubs/bars...even if you are not a party animal the Skyline bar is worth a visit. It's a quiet, cozy little room with with light-up menus and a beautiful wall that changes views of skylines around the world. A must see in the Europa District of nightclubs on the ship.

For one of our without-kid times together my wife and I went to Meridian one evening, which is the lounge between Remy and Palo, well after dinner (around 10:30 or so). The place was completely empty and we had the outside seating area all to ourselves...it was quite lovely!

Craving a Dole Whip float? Next best thing....I asked our server to bring me half a glass of pineapple juice and some vanilla ice cream and enjoyed that at dinner each night. It hits the spot. As soon as we sat down each evening he'd bring it for me.

Depending on your location, the closest laundry area to you might be on a different deck. Check the maps for where each one is on each floor.

Get up for sunrise and have deck 11 (and 12) all to yourselves!

Try taking the stairs in each different stairwell from top-to-bottom (or vice versa, if you wish) at least once, to check out all the great art on each landing.

That sounds wonderful!!

We often take stairs instead of the elevators so we'll be sure to be on the lookout for the art you mentioned!
